Frequently asked questions
Is the Quran Verse Image Generator free?
Yes. All 6,236 verses, the English translation, all 19 reciters, and all export formats are free with no account required.
Which Quran text and translation does it use?
The Arabic Quran text and English translation are sourced from the ALQuran.cloud public API. The Arabic edition is quran-simple (simplified Arabic script with tashkeel marks); the English translation is Muhammad Asad's translation (en.asad).
Can I use the generated images commercially?
The Quranic Arabic text itself is public domain. The English translation (Muhammad Asad's) and the underlying ALQuran.cloud distribution carry their own licences — verify those before any commercial reuse of the rendered text. The image, layout, and styling you produce are yours.
Does it work offline?
No. The application requires an internet connection to load verses from the server and stream audio recitations. There is no offline mode at this time.
Which Arabic script does it use?
The quran-simple edition from ALQuran.cloud — a simplified Arabic script with basic tashkeel (diacritic marks). This is not the full Uthmani Mushaf script with Quranic recitation marks. Users who need a strict Uthmani Mushaf should consult specialised Mushaf resources.
